and meadows throughout Wiltshire. It works with people of
all ages to make sure the landscape our children inherit

CRED Programme is funded by the Big Lottery Fund through
its Transforming Waste initiative.

The
Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts manages the £36.5
million CRED Programme and will award grants of between
£50,000 and £300,000 to community based recycling,
reuse and composting initiatives in England.

Wiltshire Waste
Partnership is made up of Wiltshire County Council and the four
District Councils - Kennet, North Wiltshire, Salisbury and
West Wiltshire Also included in the partnership are the waste
disposal contractor Hills and the waste minimisation partner
Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. Together they are working
to tackle waste issues across Wiltshire.
Rethink Rubbish

Rubbish is the waste awareness campaign developed on behalf of the
National Waste Awareness Initiative (NWAI). Here you can find

DARP

DARP
begun as the Devon Appliance Recycling project in 1998. DARP
Environmental Ltd is a not-for-profit Environmental Body based in
southwest England. They undertake various research, technical and
community projects, in an
integrated approach to improving the amount and range of waste
recycled. They are now busy looking for solutions to the
requirements of the WEEE Directive, when in 2006, 75%
of all electrical waste will have to be recycled. More

The
national umbrella body for 300 furniture and appliance
re-use and recycling organizations throughout the UK.
|

They
promote the re-use of unwanted furniture and household
items for the alleviation of need, hardship, distress and
poverty. 1.5 million items per year are re-used and
passed onto low income families. 63,000 tonnes
of waste is diverted from landfill and 5000 people are
working in the UK to collect and deliver furniture and
appliances. In total FRN members repair and pass on
over 250,000 domestic appliances a year to low-income
families.
