Working within the requirements of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) legislation, Refurbiz has been established to develop a central facility for the collection, sorting, refurbishment and recycling of WEEE. Reusable appliances are distributed through its member charities and directly to the disadvantaged and those on low income in Wiltshire.

Refurbiz has been incorporated as a company limited by guarantee and is registered with the Charity Commission. Its initial subscribers were four furniture recycling charities and the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust.

Refurbiz is one of a growing network of charitable household electrical appliance refurbishers working throughout the UK.
