Refurbiz is a registered charity that aims to meet the demand for low cost electrical
items for disadvantaged and low-income households by refurbishing unwanted electrical
goods.
Every day Wiltshireproduces more than two double-decker busloads of electrical 'waste'
of which only a tiny proportion is re-used, most is being scrapped or put into landfill.
Yet there are some 26,000 ‘low income’ households in the area that struggle to afford
necessary items of household equipment, such as a washing machine, fridge or cooker.
Our goals: Alleviation of poverty through the provision of refurbished goods at low
cost.
Training and employment, for disadvantaged residents and others.
Reduction of residual waste sent to landfill by increasing reuse and recycling.
